Another glorious chapter in the EQL saga came to an end with the grand finale at Bhavans Adarsha on the 20th of February, 2010. Abhijeet Balakrishnan and Sachin S Iyer emerged the best quiz team of Ernakulam after eight legs of electrifying quizzing. Reaching the top is tough but then staying there requires a lot more. Bhavans Adarsha Vidyalaya proved their mettle by becoming the Champion School for the second time running.
M Aswath and Rushabh Menon were in sublime form in the finals, leading the quiz all the way, from word go itself. Hats off to them!! Coming into the finals with a slender lead of ten points, Athul Chacko Philip and Ravikrishnan Rajeev found the going tough but still finished 1st runners up. Thanks mainly to their consistent performance and high average scores; Bhavans Adarsha comfortably finished the best team with a lead of over 500 points. The final leg had some interesting new rounds like Half-and-half and What Happens Next.
Enquire quiz League Season 2 would never have been this big a success but for the support of the participants, the schools and our former members. We are extremely grateful to the Bhavans schools for providing venues for the different legs. Participants are the life and soul of any quiz. We were lucky to have played host to a group of such enthusiastic and talented young minds. Your passion for quizzing has really motivated us and spurred us to set high standards for ourselves. A special mention to Sebastian Pattom for his unwavering support and inspiration. He has been there whenever we needed him, constantly correcting us and helping us with his innovative thinking.
The eagle has taken flight but it still has a lot to learn. We have come a long way from where we started but we still have frontiers left to conquer. Our goal is to polish you into sparkling diamonds, so that you grow Faster, Higher and Stronger to shine as stars in the quizzing realm. What lies ahead is unknown, only one thing is certain- that EQL will get bigger and better. As the sun sets on another page in the EQL history, we look into the future with that pleasant hope. Our country needs young minds that seek and find the reason behind every action and phenomenon. We at Enquire hope to do exactly that - inculcate a questioning mind that works on pure logic and thus inspire answers.....
