tht german guy is Ke`kule , of benzene fame i think.
I heard a suggestion from sumone to calculate school standings by finding the average score.As far as I know Enquire's aim is 2 bring more students into quizzing and at Adarsha we call maximum teams 2 participate in this league who are not damn gud.If from nxt season average scores are calculated,then number of teams will go down.
A possible solution is to create 2 tiers of the if possible using this years standings.The top teams can participate in the first league and the rest can participate in the second tier.The top 5-10 teams of the 2nd tier can be promoted to the top tier and an equal number can be "relegated" like in football leagues.The quizzes 4 each tier can be conducted on 2 saturdays of even one after d oder and the teams need 2 come only at the time of their respective quiz.
I think dis is a possible solution for other schools' complaints of too many teams from Adarsha resulting in us winning the championship.
enquire pls atleast check and give a reply 2 dis suggestion.

i should say that this would make quizzing boring.Only when all the teams compete together it would be exciting. The questions are different for each quizzes and it is a matter of chance that which team will qualify and win. And about many teams participating, Adarsha is near to the venue.You know that we(Hari sri) have to travel all the way from Thrissur to Ernakulam.
I dont think that people are coming to just make their school get the overall championship.They are coming to participate in the quiz and gain knowledge. I dont think that the number of the teams will go down.I hope you understood

For the record,it was i who made the suggestion..
As such enquire is having a lot of trouble with time and venues..Increasing the number of quizzes will only double the trouble.
The two-tier system will also bring in unwanted segregation among quizzers.Everyone deserves equal opportunity and only then will the junior teams ever improve
And we have a total of 6 teams..
None of us came for a quiz and only once has the entire team been there.
Isn't 4-5 teams against ~10 a mismatch??
It's quality that determines a team's calibre,not quantity.
So, I think i was reasonable with my suggestion and hope that enquire will look into it
There should also be strict rules so teams don't disappear after performing well for a couple of quizzes.
And also a minimum number of teams from a school so that a single very good team doesn't come from a school and expect to win best school trophy
it is true that teams come to participate but,next there will be a increase in number of teams from adarsha,because this year most of our 10th standards did not come.
Yes,I too Agree with Nakul& Abhijeet.Abhijits opinion is very perfect ie.everyone deserves equal oppurtunity.
And you must also think of The Enquire's Efforts.They have to prepare 2 sets of questions,of different wheightage,come to kochi all the way from calicut.and as per a lot of reasons this is totaly impractical and if it is made practical it will be so boring.and it will seem to be as a silly game to win prizes.as abhijeet said everyone are coming to gain knowledge.thus In my opinion it is totally impractical and boring!.
First of all i need to tell u that Adarsha's Victory is nothin but luck.

Quizzing is not meant to have dominating team or school. Its all about the fact that anyone can be as good an anyone else, through work.
We are going to have a couple more teams nxt year ( one or 2 ) thats it.
We dont have soo many teams as one may say. In fact i think harisri has more. Its just tht their teams either dont come (they must hav their issues) or dont perform consistently. Our teams hav come for every leg and hence crossed the average score line.
Thats all. But if the others feel its unfair then we should definitely change it to the average system ( all team scores / no of teams from a skool)
erosano we dont have more.People dont come for every leg of enquire as money and time has become a problem. As we travel we lose time. we lose about 5 hours in travelling only. The average system would be fair.
if it was the average system then a single team from some school could win the trophy and that would not be fair every school should win by its own merit
